Alan
Alan has been writing in travel-related fields for over 20 years including two years at an advertising agency writing press and TV ads and advertorials for Thomson Holidays and Club Med. Alan’s also worked for airline booking systems company Amadeus, writing keynote conference speeches, videos and literature, and wrote video scripts and support material for internal staff events at British Airways. He’s written presentations for Air UK, videos for Eurotunnel on the Channel Tunnel, plus Channel Tunnel opening day scripts. In the hospitality industry, Alan wrote all the new Forte Hotels leaflets for each of their 100+ hotels in a re-branding exercise – as well as the in-room hotel directories. He’s also written presentations for the English Tourist Board and a video and supporting booklet on Hidden France, presented by Tiff Needell – a project commissioned by Nissan.
David
From brochures to DM, advertising and websites, David has 11 years’ experience within the travel and leisure sector. Following a section editorship at Condé Nast Traveller, David has successfully combined copywriting and editorial work, specialising in travel and leisure projects. His commercial work includes projects for ITC Classics, Bents Cycling Tours and Thomas Cook, and he has written and edited contract publications for American Express, Sony, and British Airways. In addition, David has produced hotel and destination guidebooks for Lonely Planet, Time Out and Dorling Kindersley (Great Places to Stay in Europe). His travel writing has also appeared in publications as diverse as the Daily Telegraph, Arena, Vogue and Time Out. Recent projects include a new website for Experience Nottinghamshire and a series of brochures for Travelbag.
Julia
Julia has over 15 years' experience as a copywriter writing extensively for the travel industry. This includes consumer-facing brochure work for Visit England, most recently supporting their campaign to promote England to the British. The project covered researching and writing three brochures - Outdoor England, Waterside England and City Culture. Julia has also written consumer brochures for the Resort Hotels Group, the Caravan and Camping Club, to promote Arun as a holiday destination, and a range of UK Where to Stay guides. Her B2B experience includes writing ads for British Airways to promote their UK business flight routes. Other related experience in this field includes marketing B2B foreign currency transactions for Thomas Cook and MasterCard, and consumer-facing transactions with Thomas Cook and Alliance & Leicester. She is also regularly called upon to write consumer and B2B websites.
Natasha
Natasha has over thirteen years' corporate copywriting experience with advertising agencies including Publicis and M&C Saatchi, and now specialises in the travel and airline sector. She's written both business and consumer-focused web content for hotel groups such as the Intercontinental group (Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental) and Novotel, and has written and edited web copy for airline and leisure accounts including BMI Baby, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Club Med and Qantas. Natasha also wrote copy and oversaw the print production of marketing materials for Eurotunnel and the travel sector of Egg's credit card business.
Donna
With nearly 20 years' experience in copywriting and journalism, Donna specialises in the travel and recreation sector. She has written brochures and marketing materials for a top Colorado ski resort and a US regional park system, while managing the production of promotional publications for these companies. She has written destination brochure copy for London travel agencies, and online content for Mytravel.com and ViaMichelin.com. She currently contributes to publications for RCI Europe and Interval World, companies which specialise in member services for timeshare resorts. Donna is the author of several guidebooks for Thomas Cook, the AA, and Insight Guides, among others, and writes travel features for the Times, the Daily Mail and numerous travel magazines. She also has experience as a managing editor, project editor and copy editor on a variety of publications.
