The role
Our client is looking for an information architect to provide expertise in designing and delivering classification and navigation schemas, and functional specification for complex internet projects.

You'll:
  • work with clients and within a team environment to analyze content, determine appropriate categorization and develop the overriding information architecture and navigation pathways
  • specify information architecture and categorization templates
  • through information architecture distil clarity from complexity

Requirements
You will have a formal qualification and experience in a commercial web based software development environment. You should have demonstrated experience the development of information architectures for complex information systems. You should be able to demonstrate a user-centric approach to user interface design.

You'll:
  • have proven experience of designing information architecture solutions for medium to large internet projects (2 – 3 yrs minimum)
  • demonstrate a comprehensive, logical design approach and attention to detail
  • have the ability to quickly grasp the fundamental structure of complex information bodies
  • be able to provide examples of past information architecture documentation in the form of site maps and functional specifications
  • have experience of working in multidisciplinary teams to specify structure, navigation and interaction
  • experience of providing estimates of time and resource requirements to the project manager to assist in developing an overall project plan stage
  • be experienced in planning, organizing and carrying out client-based workshops and focus groups as part of a requirement capture process
  • have knowledge of usability and accessibility standards (formal standards i.e. Bobby etc)
  • ideally have experience of carrying out usability testing
  • have demonstrable communication skills, both written and verbal (essential requirement)
  • have experience of the bidding process
